Neil,

Multi-purpose tools only work in Alton Brown's TV kitchen. Focus. Focus. Focus. And to continue your analogy, Drew only calls one play per down. Focus within focus.

Neil,

We could always go back to "paradigm shift."

Or switch to a "disruptive technology."

Or...

Damn, all the good phrases are now URLs.

Neil,

And, sadly, common courtesy is no longer common. We could all use a dose of the fifties.

I offer as evidence the Flynn Park School Creed, which was prominently displayed in the foyer of my grade school.

FLYNN PARK SCHOOL CREED
Let me be a little kinder,
Let me be a little blinder to the faults of those about me.
Let me praise a little more.
Let me be when I am weary just a little bit more cheery.
Let me serve a little better, those that I am striving for.
Let me be a little braver, when temptation bids me waver.
Let me strive a little harder to be all that I should be.
Let me be a little meeker, with the brother that is weaker.
Let me think more of my neighbor, and a little less of me.

We don't see much of that today.

Thank you, James. It's easy to undervalue current customers, but they're almost always your best source of ongoing and increased revenue.

Nice piece. People need to understand that they not only have to keep their good clients but that is their greatest source of additional work especially in times like these.

Great post, thank you! It can also help if you like to get up early in the morning. To be the first to post important links (on news or social media topics) can help you to get re-tweeted and get more followers.
Greetings from Munich,
Gerhard
